Having been a Brasonite for quite some time, I want to bring to light the ticket agents and receptives. Branson used to be a place where people would help each other out. Not anymore. Sadly gone are those days and these new days have brought the worldly norm of every business for itself.

I feel sorry for people who visit or call Branson receptives and ask for a good show to see. Do the receptives honestly give them a good show? I'm afraid to say, not anymore. Receptives (ticket agents) only care about one thing: the almighty dollar. Whoever gives them the biggest spread, that's the 'best' show in Branson! If someone has a $20 ticket and they only charge the receptive $4, that receptive will push that show like nothing else--doesn't matter if the show is the worst show in town. Of course they're in business to make money but you can still make money and keep an ethical touch.

Don't get me wrong--not all receptives and ticket agents are this way. Out of the dozens and dozens I've dealt with, I know of a few (I can count them on one hand though) who run a decent business. But, by large, the other receptives are sucking the life out of the decent shows in town and rewarding the desperate who will sell their tickets for pennies on the dollar. If only the visitors who paid full price for these desparate shows knew what the receptive was paying...
