We took a short Branson trip this past weekend. We arrived in Branson Friday, July 21 at about 9:30 p.m. We stayed at our favorite place again...The Green Gables Inn. We checked in threw our bags in the room and off we went. We went to Steak N Shake for supper. Great food...we couldn't wait to eat here. We had been dreaming about those burgers and shakes for months. After supper we decided to go to one of our MUST STOPS...the $1 shop!! Found a few cute new trinkets here. By the time we got through looking around the $1 shop, we were pretty tired, so we decided to call it a night. We wanted to watch our favorite channel in B-Town....The Vacation Channel!! I have some bad news folks...they don't sing the theme song anymore during the weather reports...it's just the music. We were ready to howl over this. Still loved watching though!!

Saturday morning we were up with the chickens. After all we had a lot to do and only a little time to do it. We started off with breakfast at the Grand Country Buffet...what can I say, simply MAGNIFICENT!! After breakfast we looked around the little shopping area, where I found some birds on for 1/2 off....great deal!! Then we went out to the Country Barn. We just love all of the fountains out there. We looped around to the shops at the Shepherd of the Hills, which we always like to go in. Came back into town and decided to go to the Tanger Mall. After Tanger we went to one of my sister's favorite stores, Dressin' Gaudy. They have a lot of neat clothes and jewelry in this store. Then it was time for lunch at Danna's BBQ, and that means BBQ Nachos. They were GREAT!! After our nacho fix, we stopped in at Coffelt's Country Village. We got some new crocs at Jigglin' George's...they have a huge selection of crocs. Then it was on to Ride The Ducks!! Fun time...our captain was Captain Crunch, and he was a hoot. I love my wacky quackers too!! After our duck ride, we headed downtown to the landing. Had to stop in the Cardinals Clubhouse store for our redbird fix. Tried some Haagen Daaz ice cream, and found our Dad a shirt at Bass Pro that he wanted. After the landing we headed to the Old Fashioned Candy Store downtown...love this place. I've really been enjoying the candy we bought there, this week. We stopped at the $1 shop, then it was supper time. We decided to try out Montana Mike's...good food. We made a quick stop at the Imax, then it was showtime. We saw the Baldknobber's Saturday night. This show is one of our favorites in Branson. Hargus makes a nice addition to the already funny Stub and Droop, and the singing is great!! After the show we had some ice cream at Maggie Moo's. Our first time trying this place...it was very good. After Maggie Moo's we played a round of Gator Golf, and then it was bedtime.

Sunday Morning we had breakfast at the Belgian Waffle House...this place is really great!! After breakfast it was time for one of our MUST stops in Branson...The Apple Tree Mall...love this place!! We then went out to the Branson Meadows Mall to the VF Outlet. Then we stopped at the Amish Store for some goodies. They have expanded the store...it's nice. Then we made a quick stop at the Red Roof Mall and the Grand Country Square, and it was time to head home. We grabbed a couple of burgers at Backyard Burgers and headed out of town.

We had a great time in Branson and can't wait to come back!! Thanks everyone for all of the great service!!

Wow, I don't know about you but I'm wore out just reading what all you enjoyed on your weekend in Branson. My husband, another couple, and I use to run like that a number of years ago, but we have slowed down some. In fact, a few years ago some KS friends join us there and we ended up playing cards in the motel room a couple times. Now that is really slowing down! Our next trip is planned for Veteran's week.
