We have seen advertisments offering two nights free lodging if you agree to listen to their sales pitch for Time Shares or other offerings.

Has anyone had experience with these companies in Branson?

Are they legitimate?

Are there offers that a person needs to stay away from?

Are there any hidden costs that aren't mentioned up front?

Thanks!

Ron - I've had a few bad experiences with time shares in Branson and I won't even consider anything now if I even hear the phrase 'time share.'

I had one that promised me only 90 minutes of my time for free show tickets and after 3 hours I felt like a hostage. When I finally did break to leave they turned mean and then played the sympathy card.

Just a heads up....

Zap--tell me more and please "say it isn't so with the Grand Crowne Resorts that you have found a horror story--that is where we are going!

Any hints on how to keep it to the 90 minutes---we have a bonus vacation hanging in the balance, and we have to complete the "90 minute" tour!

Ron, if you get back on--let me know your experience, too.

I'm getting nervous...... Confused

Truth is I haven't had any experience with the Grand Growne Resorts. I've seen them in town but I haven't heard anything negative about them--which for a timeshare is a good thing.

Let me know how it goes.... Smile

Ya just have to know how to handle those timeshare salesmen. You can some nice free things out of them but you have to stand your ground! I say 90 minutes of your time is worth it if you get a nice free package of goodies. Just don't actually buy into it!

My family and I were approached last summer after having breakfast and decided that we could use some free show tickets for a short timeshare presentation. I was 8 months pregnant and had my other two kids with us. It was probably worth the time to get us all free show tickets, but I wouldn't have done it without my husband who is very outspoken and had no problem saying no thank you and it's time for us to leave. They will pressure you and your kids will get tired before it's over (mine started to get really bored and all I was thinking about was how we were missing out on 1/2 of our day because of this.) If you're looking for a deal and can speak up for yourself, you might want to try it, but if you really just want to enjoy your vacation, I say STAY AWAY from these people and fork out the extra money for shows and attractions. We knew all along we were NEVER going to purchase a timeshare, so just judge for yourself on how valuable is your time.
