Hi Melissa; while I'm sure that's a very good company, I believe you could save money if you just went to the box office with a coupon for that show. The prices listed on their site look like the full box office rate and I know many shows in town offer coupons.

Melissa,
I've been living in Branson for years and I've never even heard of Colonnade. Where is it? I'd be interested to know. Just when I thought I knew everything... Oh, and you might want to check out reservebranson.com for tickets. I've noticed that sometimes they'll discount their prices a little below the box office rate. Hope that helps. |

Okay--
I'm confused on where to go to get the best attraction tickets. NO, I am already going on one of those time share things that I am now regretting getting into. I don't need anymore sales pitches on vacation Is there a secret to finding out about ticket discounts? I haven't seen my Chamber information yet--and all the coupon book stuff that is promised. What about little known websites etc? For example, if you know what particular soft-drink brand (radio station hint etc) to bring to Disney World on any given day--you can save big bucks per ticket. Same for the Royal Gorge in Colorado. Is there some "insider navigational information" to get something for Silver Dollar City? Also--how are the parks and lake areas etc for biking? Is there a reasonable place to rent bikes? Thanks!!!! |

Guest from Iowa - You will find that SDC discounts are not readily available anywhere. The only coupon that I know of is available in the MO State Travel Planner (order online). The coupon is good for $2 off admission (not sure if adult & child, or adult only). The AAA website offers a 2-day SDC adult admission for about $3 less than gate price and the child ticket for $2.xx less than gate price. There is no soda can discount for SDC. The sister theme park, Celebration City, did have a soda can discount, but I do not know if that promotion has ended or the amount of the discount.
Here are some coupon websites for Branson area shows, lodging, restaurants, and attractions. www.sunnydayguide.com www.bestreadguide.com http://bransonsavings.com/coupons/coupons.asp?bh=bs http://www.khoz.com/bids_unsoldall.htm http://www.ktlo.com/branson.html I hope some of this information helps you. |

Dear labpup89--
BLESS YOU! I will go ahead and check out those sites and the Mo. Travel Guide you mentioned. I was about to come to the same conclusion that SDC is fairly strictly held and discount tickets were not available as such. Supposedly, a travel pack is coming with discount tickets already into the humdreds of $$$$$ savings--but haven't seen it yet!!!! Orlando was so full of it, you would trip over discounts when walking to the motel lobby! Guess I was hoping for the same. I can't figure out the price comparison thing done by Melissa-- Melissa is it only because of those dates? We will be weeks ahead of that time. To make the search clean and fast--can you give the direct route in? Thanks bunches for all the help!!!! |

You will find all kinds of coupon publications in the lobby of your motel/hotel and at a lot of places in Branson. Unfortunately, there just aren't any discounts for SDC. Be sure to use the coupons to save $ on just about everything else you will be doing in Branson. I will be traveling to Branson from Iowa on August 6. I can't wait! |

If you go to Silver Dollar City after 3:00 PM, you can go the next day free. Also, I believe there is some savings if you buy a 3-day pass for all three parks. For some discount tickets, you can try missouribargains.com and bigriverbargains.com. After you get to the site, click on "entertainment" on the left side of the page and you will see what they're offering at this time. Check it often because it changes from time to time. They don't offer anything for Silver Dollar City, but mostly shows. You buy a discount certificate, then go to the show and book for the date you want. Use the certificate like cash.

Branson Mom--
I went onto you site and thought it was more than SUPER!!!!! Where do you get the time? You should give lessons in website construction, though! Very user-friendly! Just one thing I noticed on the mention of restaurant.com--the $25.00 certificate is now $12.50 not $10.00. Everything else seemed to be fantastic and well placed. I need to know about the rental of bikes for use at the lakes or parks, where the waterfalls are etc for some kickback relaxing time (we're not big show folks). I hear that one theater offers a really good free church service on Sunday mornings--but forgot which one it was--do you know? Also, have you found out where Entertainment Books might be sold in town? We have Lions and Rotary Clubs here that do it here in Iowa year around. I'm afraid that they wouldn't arrive before our trip if I ordered them online for Branson. My son's high school music group sells them for fundraisers, so I have a couple. You know how those school fundraisers work! But I don't get how does my punch card work for Branson? I know I can do hotels, flights, car rental---but attractions????? We now are beginning to look forward to our timeshare vacation escapade to Branson! We plan on adding several more days to see as many things around as possible! Thanks bunches!!! |

Thanks for the compliments about my site, I'm glad you liked it!
You can rent bikes at Trek the Ozarks on "the Strip" (Hwy. 76). Here's their website. http://www.trektheozarks.com/. You won't see a lot of waterfalls in Branson however. I'd suggest Dogwood Canyon for that, in Lampe. I believe they also rent bikes. Here's their website. http://www.dogwoodcanyon.com/ There are several theaters that offer church services. Jim Stafford and the Grand Palace are the ones, I can recall at the moment, but I'm sure there are more. I still haven't seen the Entertainment books here in town. I haven't gotten an Entertainment book in years, but the ones we always used to get had a plastic card in them. From what I understand you can use you're card from any area to get the discount at Dixie Stampede. Here's the information from the Entertainment.com website. Discount Description Enjoy 20% off the regular price of any DINNER & SHOW for up to FOUR PEOPLE Valid at Branson location only valid anytime Must present Entertainment ® Card at time of ticket pick up Not valid with any other discount offer I hope this helps! |

Thanks--Branson Mom for all the advice--
We are getting excited about coming and checking out all the website entries that we get. I looked at Dogwood Canyon--and wondered about the expense ($16.95 each) to rent bikes! But then, if it is spectacular (and restful) that is what we need. There are just X amount of $$$$ and we want to do a wise and memorable trip. We'll look into the Grand Palace Church Service, too! So far, everyone has been so helpful to guide toward and especially AWAY from things that locals really know to be scams, dirt, and plain undesirable situations for families. Even the Chamber gave me the Attorney General's e-mail to make sure that no one took advantage of us on this trip--Amazing, telling the telemarketers that, really has kept the solicitations down!!!! Keep up the good work caring for your community. Based on the responses from the "Insiders" I could really give a Fantastic review for going. Up until now, I thought Branson was the Vegas of the Midwest and to be avoided at all cost!!! Thanks for changing my mind! We take off near the end of the month and pray that the weather holds out and that the Tall Timber Lumberjack show and SDC is as great as all say! We are thinking that it will be so! |

You're welcome! I have no doubt, that you're visit to Branson will be memorable. Branson is a wonderful family destination and I'm glad you're planning a visit!
I've not seen the Lumberjack Show, but SDC is great! Be sure to be prepared for hot weather. Our temperatures are supposed to reach 100 this week, so just make sure you keep cool and take precautions to avoid heat related illnesses. They're calling for it to let up by mid week, but it's still July and can get quite hot. Have a wonderful visit!! |
