Hey Joe. I went to branson two years ago with a group and we to the saint louis bread store for lunch. Very good and very healthy. It was nice change from all that greasy fast food. Hope that helps somebody.

Okay I know that the Olive Garden has locations nationwide but they also have one in Branson and I'm glad they do. I love the Olive Garden. Have you ever had their fettucine alfredo? Delicious!

If you're looking for a really good local place you have to visit Danna's BBQ. They have some of the best barbequed pork, chicken, and beef sandwiches I've ever had. Heck-just about everything they have is good. They are a little tricky to find since they're not on the main drag. You have to head down the road that goes to the Lawrence Welk theater.

Oh, and the best part: they're CHEAP! My wife and I only spent about $10 for both of us. Mr. Green

My husband and I decided to try the new Tony Z's Italian Ristorante last Saturday. It is right next door to the Welk Theater where we saw the Lowe Family morning show (unbelievable show by the way), so we thought we would drop in for lunch and we're sure glad we did. It was the best food we'd ever eaten in Branson. And the atmosphere was fabulous. We both had one of their Italian sandwiches on Paninni (spelling?) with a side of Alfredo. The waiter (white tux shirt with black bow tie) was wonderful. He brought hot bread and a plate of oil/vinegar/parmesan to dip it in. White linen tablecloths, linen napkins, great ambience, great food, great service and all for $16.83. We will definitely go back next time we're in Branson.

Shorty Smalls is one of our Branson favorites. Their chicken strips are awesome, and the BBQ pork sandwich is a favorite. Look for a coupon for a FREE onion loaf appetizer (available in the free coupon publications - Sunny Day Guide, Best Read Guide - found at the motels, visitor centers, and some stores in Branson).

McFarlain's at the Branson IMAX theather complex is another favorite. (Click here http://bransonsavings.com/coupons/coupons.asp?bh=bs for some printable coupons. McFarlain's has a 15% off coupon on page 7.) They advertise Fried Green Tomatoes, but I have yet to try them. I love their cornbread!

We also tried Shorty Small's on our trip to Branson last weekend, the ribs were delicious, and so were the chicken tenders! We also ate at the Candle Stick Inn one evening- very pricey, but the view was awesome, and the meal was superb! We had the mushroom appetizer (I could've eaten 6 of those!) and I had prime rib (yum) and my wife had trout, which was also wonderful.

FYI Saint Louise Bread is now called Panera but is the exact same food. Delicious soups, salads & sandwiches. My kids eat their soup for breakfast!

I know it's not a restaurant, but when Maggie Moos came to Branson I loved it even more. What can I say? I'm an ice cream fanatic. Maggie's Fudge is to die for! Laughing

I really miss GRANNY'S. They specialize in REAL/SCRATCH HOMEMADE FOODS. They have Breakast Buffets, Lunch Buffets & Dinner Buffets, plus menu ordering. Granny's is on the RED route at the top of the hill between the Branson Balloon and the IMAX. It's EZ to find because the parking lot is always crowded. (But you get instant seating.)

McFairlain's is also on the RED ROUTE in the IMAX complex. Another place with homemade taste, plus fun waitstaff! My wife and I really enjoyed the food and service.

The HARD LUCK DINER is in that fancy strip mall next to the Grand Palace Theater on the strip. It is owned by the Silver Dollar City folks. The food is similar to Denny's. Their catch is that every few minutes, a staff member (IE: waitress) starts a pre-recorded background music, grabs a microphone and starts singing a couple songs! Our waitress sang two songs while we ate. She was VERY TALENTED. No extra charge for the live songs with your meal, though a tip jar is available. Some of Branson's talented singers are inches away from your table! Laughing

ALL 3 LISTED ABOVE HAVE REASONABLE PRICING. GRANNY'S IS LOWEST COST AND BEST FOOD OF ALL!

Definately eat at Danna's BBQ! It's on Fall Creek road.. best BBQ in town- and you won't find them anywhere else! Also the Garden's- and ecclectic eatery will be moving into the Branson Meadows Mall in a couple of weeks- beautiful atmosphere- great service and the best food- sandwiches, salads, quiche, soups, coffees, tea and smoothies!! Great!
Save money by seeing a show that includes a meal-
The Rockin' S Chuckwagon brunch (bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, potatoes, cinnamon roll, fruit cup, cofee and juice- yum!) at the Shepherd of the Hills Pavillion Theatre 11 a.m, Sons of the Pioneers- chicken, bisket, baked beans, potatoes, cole slaw corn muffin and peach cobbler Smile ! The best!! Very Happy

When we went to Branson two weeks ago we tried Danna's BBQ for the first time and absolutely fell in love with their hot BBQ sauce so much that we bought a bottle to take home with us. Now it is almost gone already and we are wondering if anyone knows if they ship there sauce or how we could obtain some more. We live in Wisconsin. What we have tried and tastes so good is putting that sauce on a frozen pizza before we bake it and when it is all baked it tastes absolutely awesome. We are hooked for life. We can't wait to come back to Branson next year just to eat at Danna's. Smile Thanks.

Danna's defintely is the best BBQ place anywhere around Branson. I don't know if they ship and sell their BBQ sauce, but you can call them at (417) 272-1945 and see. I'm glad I live in Branson so I can have a little bit a Danna's at least once a week! Very Happy

The best place to eat where they "throw the rolls " is at Lambert's several miles outside of Springfield on highway 65 just off to the left by the James River Assembly of God Church. The food is very, very good. Very Happy The rolls are awesome and taste like the rolls our grandmother's baked. They past home fried potatoes, okra, macaroni&tomatoes besides a huge plate of food you order off the menu. Way more than most people can eat so bring an small ice chest to take leftovers with you. My husband and I had our evening meal from the leftovers. One last thing, most of the time you have a wait of 30-45 minutes but it is worth it. Time pasts fast as you chat with the others that are waiting for many other states.
Watch for the signs. They will have the Exit #. Someone on the forum probably recalls it.
