I go to Branson all the time. At leat 8 times a year, been there a dozen times this year. However, I have never been at Thanksgiving. What should I expect?

Will shows sell out? Which ones?

Traffic conditions?

Silver Dollar City?

Thanksgiving Dinner?

I'll be in Branson Thanksgiving weekend too! Very Happy I've gone that wkend several times. IT WILL BE CROWDED! You should make your reservations, if you haven't all ready. I've never been to SDC at Thanksgiving though. We will be going up on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.
I've got reservations all ready for the Presleys and the Duttons. And for my motel, I wanted to stay at the Dutton Inn, but they are full, so we're staying at the Plantation next door to the Duttons.
Good luck on planning your trip.

we made our motel reservations in January to be sure that we got a motel with an Indoor Pool, some of them were already getting full.

made our show reservations about a month ago, tried Shoji... best seating was gone. tried Mickey Gilley... same thing. Ray Stevens... evenning shows were filling up but we got good seats for the 3;00 show. Christmas Dreams at the Grand Palace.. got seats about 7 or 8 rows back.

lot of the big things like the Outlet Malls will be closed on Thanksgiving, smaller places open. long lines for places serving Thanksgiving Dinner.

traffic will be bad, Friday morning will be awfull... everybody trying to get to the malls, traffic cops directing traffic instead of the stop lights.

SDC will have cars backed up on 76 a long ways, think we ran into the line somewhere around Shepherd of the Hills on Friday.

don't let any of that discourage you though, Branson at Thanksgiving is a lot of fun even with the crowds, we've went twice and going back a third time this year.

Yeah I did that once too and I'll never get near Branson again the day after Thanksgiving. Too much traffic! I couldn't get anywhere I wanted to go on time and honestly who wants to wait in lines on the street and in the stores? I'd rather pay more the next week when it starts to quiet down a little. Let the women go wild tomorrow! I'll be home letting my turkey digest!
