Hi. My husband and I have 3 kids and we're going to spend Thanksgiving in Branson! My husband and I will probably catch a few night shows but we want our kids to have a show too. I've seen a few magic shows listed in the lineup and I was wondering what is one that 3 kids would really enjoy.

I go to Branson at least 3-4 times a year and I've seen just about every magic show there is. The one that I really enjoy is Darren Romeo. He's only been in Branson a year but he's quite the magician. In fact, not only does he do magic, but he also sings. It's a very entertaining show full of great magic and wonderful music. I think your kids would love it!

This show is a guaranteed winner for the kids. There is almost no song and dance. It is all comedy and magic.

Jim Barber is a ventraquilist with a half dozed characters that will make you laugh untill you pee.

The Hamners are a husband & wife team of magacians. They od huge jay dropping illusions and include an opening megic segement with live birds that you won't believe. They actually fly out over the audience.

This show is one of the very best show in town. I can't waite to go back and see the Christmas show.

Darren Romeo is great but may I suggest Bart Rockett as well. He just started here in Branson(he was previously here a few years ago) and his show isn't huge but it is very very good. He is a very talented ventriloquist as well and what is different is that he interacts alot with his audience. He is out there with his audiences instead of staying on the stage throughout. He intertwines true stories throughout his show and one in particular always makes me cry when I see it. I've been there at least 3 times and I enjoy it very much. His theater is located on hwy 76 in the old Country Tonite theater next to the Dollar Shop.

anybody know how the Brett Daniels - Kirby Van Burch together deal worked out?

we were thinking this summer if the Grand Palace would have had anyother shows we were interested in that we might use one of their combo offers and try it out, but they didn't have anything else at the time we wer there and didn't risk this show by itself.

Beginning of this year Kirby was performing in the theater behind Olive Garden and next to Celebration City (Yakov's old theater). For some reason the owner for the theater kicked Kirby out (they say he wasn't paying the lease on time) and the Halls picked him up and incorporated him into Brett's show at the Grand Palace. Now I hear that Brett is leaving and Kirby will have the Grand Palace to himself. Guess we'll wait and see.....

I have never been to a magic show in Branson. I just might have to try one the next time I'm there. If so, I think I've narrowed it down to Bart Rockett or Kirby Van Burch. Both intrigue me but I know nothing about their acts. I don't want any negative publicity either have been involved in before to influence me, as I'm going purely to see a good quality show.

I'm sure Darren Romeo's show is good for those who want to combine magic with the singing, and the Hamner/Barber show might please some, but I wasn't too impressed when I saw them as a side act at the Jimmie Osmond American Jukebox theater a few years ago. Soooooo... anyone who has seen both Kirby and Bart, what are the pluses about either one of their shows?

That was the problem at the Osmand theatre. They were a side act. Now, on thei own they can sine. The do big illusins that I felt were better than Kirby. Kirby is a good magician and I have seen his show more than once. Even went on stage once, but I find that his show quality is determined by the size of the audience.

I was there one afternoon and there was a small audience (less than 100 people). He just did not see to want to be there. Not the same show I saw before.

Have not seen Bart in Branson, but saw him in Eureka Springs. Pletty good show.

I still Hink the Hanmer Barber Variety show is a must see for families in Branson. They perform with Jim Barber and while he keeps you laughing, the Hamners keep you on the edge of your seat. Great Show!!

Hopefully next year I'll see Darren Romeo. I've heard so much about him.
