Me and my hubby are coming to Branson in September for our anniversary and he loves to fish. I hear there are several lakes and rivers. Where is a good place for fishing?

Darla, from one married woman to another, why not cast out and hook that man of yours and reel him in off the lake and have him take you out to a nice romantic dinner at The Chateau on the Lake. Then head out to a nice Branson show. Just sit there and cuddle up close and be entertained. But, if he insists on going fishing, just do a search in Google and a number of good links will pop up for you to look at. Either way, Happy Anniversary.

There are several outfits in Branson that tailor specifically to fishing. They'll take you out where the spots are good or at least point you in the right direction. If your husband is into trout, you'll want to look into locations on Lake Taneycomo. If he's into bass, you can fish just about anywhere on Table Rock Lake (especially around the dam). You can also rent a boat at the State Park Marina if you do want to try bass fishing on Table Rock.

My husband loves to fly fish on Tanycomo. He fishes just below the dam and a little up from there. My daughter likes to wade in the water and then visit the fish hatchery which is right there.

Try the public fishing dock at Rockaway Beach on Lake Taneycomo. Very nice spot and when we were there in June (going back next week, too!), the trout were biting. The secret is that there are also quite a few bass in that lake too!

If you like bass, I've had luck by Table Rock Dam both from a boat and from shore.
