Blue Bayou was really bad! I like La Quinta Inn, their beds are the best in Branson. I take my own pillow though. But I also like staying at The Duttuns Inn too. Very nice and clean.

Grand Country - 1999 - nice and clean. This was before they built the indoor water park so the price was lower. We really liked the location because we were able to get out and walk to a lot of things
Mountain Music Inn - 2003 - Stayed in the hotel portion in a jacuzzi suite. It was also nice and clean. Nice indoor pool. Off the beaten path so we did not get out and walk. Dutton Inn - 2004 and 2005- Very clean. Just a basic room but a great place. Nice because you can access it from either the strip or Green Mountain drive. This May we are trying Alpenrose Inn. We stopped in and looked at the rooms when we were there in 2005. Everything seemed very nice and clean. The Dutton Inn was already booked for May when we tried to make reservations back in October so that is why we are trying something new. |

I've also stayed at Settle Inn~very nice and clean, but the last time I stayed there they didn't put me in the building I had requested. We wanted a building with the pool, we didn't get that. So I haven't stayed there since.
Ywelve Oaks Inn ~ is clean and a nice staff. Southern Oaks Inn~ clean and nice. It has an indoor and outdoor pool. I really think my favorite is La Quinta Inn, just because of their beds. They are so comfortable!! |

I can't really think of any that fall into the bad catagory, but we have stayed at.....
Clarion Palace Inn, probably our favorite place, except for the price Hampton Inn West, decent price here, great breakfast, pool could have been bigger Comfort Inn and Suites, little more off the main strip than we were used to but still a really nice motel Comfort Inn Thousand Hills, not as nice as the one on Gretna, but we liked it if any negative Radisson, nice rooms... bad pool, way to small for such a big place Hotel Grand Victorian, been 5-6 years ago, poor staff, hot tub was broke, room could have been cleaner... not a total waste though, we've talked of going back there sometime. |

My husband and I LOVE the Cascades Inn next to Shoji's theatre. We always book the Honeymoon suite if it's available. I think it's about $120.00 a night, but it's worth every penny. The bathtub is HUGE! You can swim in it! The indoor pool is also wonderful, especially in the winter. They also have a small but adequate exercise room. The staff really goes the extra mile. When our 4 year old left her stuffed animal there, the housekeeping staff took the room apart to find it. We have stayed there several times and it's perfect for our family. The bed is also comfortable and there are plenty of closets. Many of our friends have also stayed in the regular rooms and find them very nice and clean and much larger than an average hotel room.
Our very favorite place to stay is the Radisson. We have three children aged 4, 5, and 17, and need to stay somewhere larger than a regular room when all three are with us. We stay at the Cascades when it's just the younger two, but choose to book a suite at the Radisson otherwise. We had the good luck to book the penthouse last January. It is AMAZING. A standard suite has a kitchen, dining room, living room with pull-out bed, two bathrooms, and bedroom. This one had the bedroom and larger bathroom in a second story loft which overlooked the living room on the floor below. You accessed the bedroom via a spiral staircase. This was a bit hard to get luggage up, but otherwise very fun! Our kids played on it for hours. The beds at the Radisson are unbelieveably comfortable. The service was exquisite. Breakfast is complimentary for those who stay in suites and it was over the top. The fruit plate they brought us could have fed all five of us for the entire day! I know it's a pricey place to stay, but every now and then it's nice to treat yourself. We stayed for almost a week and enjoyed every moment of it, which is difficult for a large family in a confined space. Oh, and I didn't mention the view- it's breathtaking. There's something really neat about being so high up there. You have a balcony on each floor of the suite. The skylights were also nice in the extremely high vaulted ceiling. For those of you familiar with the Radisson, you know the point at the top? That's the over-three-story high ceiling in the penthouse. What a treat! By the way, there's also a walk-in closet that can work as a dressing room. Very nice! Tiffany St. James It's Branson Tonight Radio Show www.bransontonight.net |
