I THINK THAT TIME SHARE TOURS ARE WORTH THE HASSEL.

YES YOU DO HAVE TO LISTEN TO A 2 HOUR SALES PITCH, BUT THEY ARE USUALLY NOT REAL BORING.

YEST YOU DO HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SAY NO UNDER SOME SALES PRESSURE. OFTEN YOU HAVE TO SAY NO TO SEVERAL PEOPLE.

BUT LOOK AT WHAT YOU GET: TONS OF FREE OR CHEEP STUFF!

MY WIFE AND I DO THE ALL THE TIME. MANY OF THEM ARE FREE OF WELL UNDER $100 FOR MULTIPLE NIGHTS AT A GOOD HOTEL, SHOW TICKETS AND DINNER.

THE LAST ONE WE WENT ON WAS $59 AND HERE IS WHAT WE GOT: 2 NIGHTS AT THE RADISON, 2 TICKETS TO PAUL HARRIS AND A $40 MEAL VOUCHER FOR DOCKERS SEAFOOD HOUSE. THIS WAS A GREAT WEEKEND AND ALL IT COST WAS GAS AND FOOD, PLUS TWO HOURS OUT OF OUR TRIP.

WE ARE PROS. WE CAN SAY NO WITH NO GUILT. GRAB THE PRIZES AND ENJOY A CHEEP TRIP.

I KNOW SOME POEPLE HATE THEM, BUT NOT US. WHAT DO YOU THINK? ARE WE THE ONLY STRANGE ONES?

OH YEA, I HAVE TO COFESS THAT IT TOOK US A COUPLE TRY TO GET GOOD AT THE NO! WE OWN TWO TIME SHARES. HA HA

been tempted several times, never bothered with it though, figure the two hours will stretch into 3 or 4 and get a limited amout of vacation time as it is, just hate to give them any of that time to get the free stuff.

maybe sometime when I have more free time Rolling Eyes .. yea sure.... maybe i'll try it just to see what it's all about.

what I don't like is all those booths in the malls and craft stores that are fronts for timeshare sales and everytime you walk by someone starts hollering about free info.... heck i've been going to Branson for over 30 years, I could probably give them info.... some of them have a hard time taking NO for an answer

We were in Branson over the weekend while my parents were checking out a time-share. They gave us all free room and board for 3 nights. They said we would be pleased with the accomodations.... HA! We stayed at the Dutch Inn. It was a great location right on the main drag with the outlets close by but motel itself was pretty low class. I was surprised as how low it was seeing as how the timeshare people were trying to sell this package to my parents. You would think that if you wanted to make a favorable impression on someone to sell them a vacation package, you'd at least put them up in a nice place.

That's too bad! We went to Tanger the week before last and we drove right past the Dutch Inn. It looks so nice from the outside! I guess that goes to show you you can't judge a place by the outside appearance.

I have never tried timeshares and I don't think I ever well. I don't like confortation and from what I've heard it can come to that. They say that those sales people can turn ugly. Boy would I love a free vacation in Branosn but I don't think my nevers could handle the sales pressure.

I have not seen the ugly in the salemen so for, but there is a lot of stress with the pitch. If you can handle the pressure, then it is not wise to tour. It can be a colstly decision.

However if you can say NO then you do get a great deal. Two weeks ago I went on one. When I got there and checked in I told the receptionist "They guaranteed me on the phone that this would take no longer than 90-120 minutes of my time. My appt is for 8:30 am, and will leave at 10:30 finished or not." She tried to tell me that the time would not start until the presentation began which was almost 9:00. I assured her my time stared at 8:30.

When I meet my salesperson, I shared my same concern with her. She assured me we would be okay. At 10:20 they were still going and I reminded her I was leaving in 10 minutes. I guess she could see that I was serious because she finished and we were off to get the FREE stuff. I was prepare to leave at 10:30 and they understood I was serious.

3 FREE hotel nights
2 FREE show tickets
$40 Meal Voucher

All we paid was $59. THe hotel was okay, but not fancy. Still clean and comfortable. Was a great deal for only 2 hours of stress.

Most of those are for husband and wives. But my hubby doesn't really like to go to Branson like I do. I do manage to get him there every five years! We go for our anniversary. So I have two more years then he will go with me on our 30th anniversary. Applause I wouldn't mind doing one of those deals, some are pretty good and cheap. But after the 90 minutes I would be out of there!
