Does anyone know anybody who's purchased a condo in Branson and put it in a nightly rental program as an investment? We're thinking of going this route and would appreciate advice from someone who's been there. Thanks.

I never have owned one, But I would say it would be a good investment, If you get your advertising out to the public in web sites like for rent by owner, There are several web based sites to advertise. i use the for rent by owner vacaton sites and really prefer it over having to deal with checking in or out at an office. But I think Branson would be a good area to own one simply because they stay busy mostly year round. And word of mouth, if you keep it up and add little touches, better bedding, really well stocked kitchen, ( a free weekend for me) Lol..... Laughing Just kidding....Nice towels, eye pleasing decor... will really keep it rented out for you. I will return to the same place again and again if it has great qualities. But yeah, I would think you could do well,

To be perfectly honest, if I could do it over again I wouldn't. I bought a condo over at Thousand Hills 6 years ago and it's been a nightly rental since that time. Defintely not my best investment decision. In fact, we haven't made a dime off of it. The only reason we keep it, is to use it occasionally when we come into town and it's vacent.

If you're considering buying a condo in Branson, I hope you have other benefits in mind because chances are making a few extra dollars will not be one of them.

And if there are any Branson condo owners out there that are making money off their condos, please let me in on the secret!
