Has anyone been to the new Branson Landing yet? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

i've seen the pictures on another site, i'll say this my feelings have changed somewhat from the pictures. I didn't have any plans to even go check it out, but the pictures look nice and have me curious, I think if we can work it in the next time we're in Branson we'll go look it over, it's still not something i'll make special plans around to go to, but I would like to at least see it once and see what it's all about.

Ditto from here! I didn't care much one way or another before the pictures, and now I want to see it on the next trip down. Relatives of mine are there right now; so I'm anxious to hear from them when they return.

Finally made it down there yesterday. It was pretty impressive--reminds me of any big city like the gateway plaza in Kansas City. It looks really nice but it just doesn't fit 'Branson.' Branson is a country town with country folk. All of a sudden we have a piece of metropolitian right on our river front. You walk onto the landing and you've left Branson. I don't know how to describe it--it's really nice but it just doesn't fit Branson.

Finally made it down to Branson last weekend! The Landing was awesome! So many stores and it looks so nice! I think its a wonderful contribution to downtown Branson. The locals should be very pleased with the business and commerce it will draw into Branson. Bravo to the planners! Very Happy

I was there today and it is very neat. It reminds me of the Boardwalk or Barefoot Landing in Myrtle Beach. Lots of unique stores and you can walk down by the tall towers(I think they are the fire towers) for the fountain show. Still some stores to open but I would venture to say approximately 80% are open now. Bass Pro is very neat. Much smaller than Springfield, has only one fish tank but very impressive. Lots of ice cream shops, there was a very impressive group of street performers doing motown songs and dancing near the fountain area. It's very enjoyable. The only thing is that it was very very warm today and many shady benches were taken.

I'm going to Branson this weekend. I hope we make it to the Landing. I'm not sure if it's finished yet, is it? Anyone know?

The landing was party finished when we went there last weekend. Most of the stores are open including Bass pro shops but the hotel, convention center, and water show isn't done yet. It's a pretty place for a stroll with impressive shops!

Does anyone know if Joe's Crab Shack is open yet, or when it will open if not already? Thanks!

I remember seeing it on a list of the restaurants going in but I didn't see it when we were there. I only saw Famous Dave's. Will it be a separate building or will it be joined to the rest of the Landing stores? Anybody know?

Looks like it will be joined to the rest in the section called the "Wharf District". If you go to the Landing's website at www.bransonlanding.com, which btw, is a really good site, and click on DINE, it tells you that it's Suite 717. When you click on the name/suite #, it brings up a little map showing you exactly where it is.

Joe's will be right across the way from Famous Dave's. It wasn't done when I was there, I'm planning on being there at the Landing tomorrow because I'm looking for a special item. I'll check it out for you.

Gosh, according to the Landing map, they don't look like their across from each other. It shows Famous Daves (Suite 1201) towards one end and Joe's Crab Shack (Suite 717) down towards the other end. Maybe the map is wrong?

Here's where I'm looking: http://www.bransonlanding.com/category_restaurants.html - If you click on each restaurant, a map comes up that shows that place highlited.

Joe's is opening in late August. I wish it were sooner because I think I might get down there before that.

I am so sorry you are right now that I think about it. But I will still check on the progress for you. Again I'm sorry for the incorrect information.

We checked out the Branson Landing a few weeks ago and it looked like something you would see in a big city. I also enjoyed the different kinds of street performers they had there.

I didn't get to go to Branson Landing on my last trip. But I plan on going back in August, so maybe I'll make it down there next time.
