We just got back from Branson after staying there for 4 nights and 5 days. The traffic was not what I expected. For the most part, drivers are respectful and courteous and let you enter into traffic on Hwy 76. I have to admit that driving that slow really gave me a chance to see exactly where everything was on the first day. After that, it got old quick. We took the alternate routes marked in red, yellow and blue when we could.

As for entertainment, we saw the Baldknobbers show and we went to the Dixie Stampede. Both were enjoyable and worth the price of the tickets. Personally, as far as music goes, I really enjoyed the Hard Luck Diner. Our waitress was Debby K (?) and man could that girl sing!! We enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and most of all, the employees and their interaction with the customers. We will definitely go back there.

We did ride the Duck. Captain Bill was grouchy because he was supposed to take a big tour group of older ladies and men on his "Duck". He "got stuck" with us and a few others and was obviously not happy about it. Bet he wonders why he didn't get any tips that morning. He sure could have been more pleasant or at least not as obvious about his disappointment. Oh well, we rode the Duck and won't have to do that again on our next trip.

We will probably come back to Branson in the future. We had a good time and found our way around quite easily.

That is one thing that surprises most vistors--the traffic. They can't believe how bad it is but on the other hand, they can't believe how corteous and nice everyone is. I have never seen any other place in this country where people will stop you let you in at every turn. Everyone is so nice!

Baldknobbers are great. Stubs is hillarious. As for the Ducks, honestly they don't thrill me too much. I mean who wants to spend that much time on top of a car in the heat with the wind blowing in your face? Not I!

Glad you had a good trip!

We like to be polite to everyone in town. If we're going to have tons of traffic, we all got to work together to get anywhere in the town. You'll always find kind folks around to let you in no matter where you are in the area. I love the Midwest!

I'd rather drive in Branson than here in my own town. The people are friendlier in Branson when it come to the traffic.

I always appreciate the courteous "locals" in Branson as well as the "friendly" traffic. I am impressed with how nice the people who work in Branson are--considering nearly everyone is there on vacation and the workers are at their job. I think it would be difficult to be upbeat about working when nearly everyone around you is on vacation.

Applause Here Here! Kansashusker!! I could not agree more. Wonderful people, and I can say that with first class knowledge of the subject having just spent two whole weeks with those wonderful people. And the one's visiting were quite nice as well! A very kind lady even made a beautiful cake for my good lady and I just because we were celebrating our Golden Wedding and getting all hitched up again for another 50! She even came to the wedding at the 'Little Log Chapel of the Ozarks' along with others of our friends! I even believe she was the one responsible for having our names put up in neon lights outside our wonderful Clarion Hotel Rolling Eyes

Well Pushookaman, everyone should have their name in neon lights when they are celebrating their 50th anniversary!! I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Branson so much and I am sure that everyone who visited you there is very happy that they were able to meet you and your wife. I'm glad you had a great time and hurry back to the Ozarks as I'm sure there's another party waiting for everybody to attend!! Very Happy
