We left early Friday morning heading to Branson. We went through the Marshall, Ar. yard sales. There were so many this year. We had a great time getting some neat things! We arrived in Branson mid afternoon. We stayed at Ramada Inn next to Dick Clark's Am. Bandstand. Nice and clean rooms, nice staff too!. We saw Paul Revere and the Raiders with Bill Medley. It took me MANY MANY years to finally see the Raiders, I always wanted to when I was a teen, but never got to. This was a great show to me! Let me back up just a little bit. When we went to pick up our tickets, well, guess who else was picking up their tickets? None other than Mr. Roi himself! He was there with Melanie, Vicki, her husband and Sherry. Those of you in the Tony Club will know who I'm referring to. This was the night to be there. Rudy Gatlin was also there and so was Janet Lennon. I got to see extra celebraties in the audiance! I sure hope my pictures come out good. Anyway, before the show started I was visiting with Tony and the others, Tony wished me Happy Birthday and gave me a little birthday kiss! What a treat! I didn't get to go to his show, but I did get to see him for about 10 minutes before the show.
Saturday morning we went through the Titanic. I want to go back through that again. There's so much to see and read. I used my AAA Plus card and got in for $15.75, I think is what it cost. I know it was $15. 00 but can't remember the cents.
Saturday afternoon we mostly shopped. But while we were out and about. One of my friends from Tonys Club called me, she was at his show and was waiting for him to come out to do the autographs. She had called me and had Tony wish me happy birthday. What a treat that was too!
Saturday night we saw Pierce Arrow. It had been a couple of years since I had seen there show. They've had some changes as most people know, but the show was great! I love Jarrett Dougherty, he is the funniest person. I love his preacher character. He's too funny!!!!!
Sunday afternoon we did some shopping and went to Branson Landing. I'm waiting till it's cooler weather to go back down there. It was way too HOT. It's nice, but I was worrying mostly about my mom in the heat. She can't take the heat like she used to, she had a bad heart attack 4 years ago. The Doctor told us she was lucky she survived her heart attack. We didn't stay too long down there. We left after we ate lunch. We ate at the Irish Pub, it was good. We were hoping the Crab Shack would be open but it wasn't.
We came home Sunday just as it started to storm in Branson. But we left the storm behind us. It was sunny all the way home.
I had a great time in Branson! This was a GREAT weekend for my birthday. I had several calls from some of my "net" friends and some emails and also some posts on this board too. Thank you all so much!
